One of our customers asked us to make a watch out of a movement he bought online. It was a 1950's IWC caliber 8541 with the Pelleton winding system. First thing we did was measure the movement and make a drawing that we could work from to make the other parts needed, like the dial, case, and hands. The movement also needed a restoration and some parts made and replaced. The dial is made of solid silver and was hand made in our shop here in PA with our antique Guilloche machines.
Custom watch case was also made here in PA to fit the movement and it has a hand engraved case-back. We were able to modify a set of hands we had to fit the movement. The winding rotor is new and made per the customers request with Guilloche. It was nice to bring back to life an old movement and turn it into a family heirloom.
